Product Details

Help young athletes push themselves even further with the grade school GEL-CUMULUS? 21 GS performance road running shoe by ASICS. With a full-length EVA midsole and rearfoot GEL? technology, this shoe boasts premium levels of shock absorption and energized cushioning underfoot for a smooth, comfortable ride. We've added GUIDANCE LINE? technology to ensure young feet feel stable and supported, even over long distances, while the internal heel counter holds the foot in position to reduce the risk of twisting and torsion. We know kids can be tough on shoes, so we've added our highly resistant rubber AHAR? outsole to take on the most impact and strain. Added support comes from a durable AHARPLUS? heel plug to ensure the shoe will withstand long-term wear, even from the most dedicated young runners. The ORTHOLITE? sockliner provides an additional layer of cushioning comfort, while the flexible mesh upper means your grade-schooler's feet will feel cool and ventilated, no matter how far they go. With the GEL-CUMULUS? 21 GS in their training bag, kids will have the confidence to tackle any distance in comfort.

Pronation

Pronation is part of the natural movement of the human body and refers to the way your foot rolls inward for impact distribution upon landing. Understanding your pronation type can help you find a comfortable running shoe. The GEL-CUMULUS 21 GS is made for Underpronation and Neutral.
  • Under
  • Neutral
  • Over

Underpronation

  • Foot Type

    High arches
  • Push Off

The pressure is on smaller toes on outside of foot.
  • How your foot contacts the ground

The outer side of the heel hits the ground at an increased angle with little or no normal pronation, causing a large transmission of shock through the lower leg.

Neutral

  • Foot Type

    Normal size arches
  • Push Off

There is even distribution from the front of the foot.
  • How your foot contacts the ground

The foot lands on outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight.

Product Features

  • Rearfoot GEL? technology cushioning system
Attenuates shock during impact phase and allows for a smooth transition to midstance.
  • FluidRide? Midsole
ASICS FluidRide? midsole provides the ultimate combination of bounce back and cushioning properties with reduced weight and exceptional durability.
GEL-CUMULUS 21 GS is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from OWNED 3 PAIR I've owned 3 pair of ASICS..each pair wore a hold through by my little toe. I've never had any other shoe do that. Careful you check integrity of the shoe. I know I'm not the only one with this issue and I've heard ASICS has worked to solve problem.
